Hello and welcome to Tom Whittington’s Coronado Webcam Portal!

These webcams are my effort to share my perspective on Coronado, California. The Coronado Web Cams consist of four cameras: South Beach (showing the surf line of the Pacific Ocean south to Mexico) North Beach (looking north toward North Island Naval Air Station), Hotel Del (showing the Hotel Del Coronado) and, one showing the beach / tide.

Previously one of the cameras featured the work of “The Sandman” (showing Avenida del Sol which is the palette of Albert Avila also known as “the Coronado Sandman”). Mr. Avila performed his magic using a broom to sweep the sand found on the below street attracting many to come see his unforgettable art. He had an uncanny perspective that could best be appreciated from the higher floors of the Hotel Del and La Sierra. Some of his past work can be found in the gallery.

From time to time web cams may include the training exercises of the Navy Seal candidates including landing on the rocks in view of the North Beach Cam and other beach groups and activities.
